From July 12 to 20, 2025, Georgetown came alive with the unforgettable EDGE Series, the signature multi-sport competition hosted by Edge Sports Management (ESM). The event featured three dynamic sports—3×3 basketball, team table tennis, and a high-speed criterium cycling race—bringing together the very best local and regional athletes.
The Republic Bank 3×3 Basketball Tournament— Republic Bank Champions
At the National Gymnasium, sixteen elite teams competed for top honours in the Republic Bank 3×3 Basketball Tournament. Ultimately, Renegades dominated the court, defeating the Linden Shooters with a strong 21-13 victory to claim the title.
The crowd-roaring win reflected their skill, teamwork, and grit—earning champions’ glory and regional recognition.
KFC Table Tennis Teams Tournament— Regional Flair & Local Excellence
Held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, the KFC Team Table Tennis Tournament featured powerhouse line-ups from across the Caribbean, including Trinidad & Tobago, Cuba, and Guyana’s best.

The dominant Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) from Trinidad swept their group without dropping a match, while Guyana’s Team 7 impressed with clinical wins over Quiet Storm and others.
Semi-final matchups between Team 7, QPCC, Quiet Storm, and WASA promised high drama—and delivered—cementing table tennis as one of the weekend’s highlights.
The weekend concluded with QPCC claiming the title and Aaron Wilson (TTO) winning the MVP Award. WASA finished in 2nd Place while Team 7 finished 3rd.
Criterium Cycling — Speed, Strategy, and Standout Performances
The grand finale on July 20 saw Vlissengen Road transformed into a high-speed criterium circuit, where Guyana’s best cyclists went head-to-head in front of an electric crowd.
